Edineț is a multinational northern Moldovan city with a population of approx. 20,000 residents. This city’s young people were the target of the 2014 youth support project conducted by the Lublin-based Managerial Initiative Foundation and the Moldovan “Demos” Association. RITA travel grants were one of the factors which enabled establishing cooperation between the partners. The joint project proved beneficial for all parties involved: a youth social competence development centre was launched, project operators acquired knowledge of numerous new methods of working with youth, and the Moldovan organisation expanded its contact network to include local schools, administrative units and business entities.
