W ramach Programu przemiany w Regionie RITA finansowanego ze środków Polsko-Amerykańskiej Fundacji Wolności w marcu 2023 r. po wybuchu wojny w Ukrainie uruchomiliśmy „szybką ścieżkę ukraińską” dla projektów interwencyjnych wspierających mieszkańców Ukrainy wszystkich narodowości, którzy ucierpieli w wyniku wojny w ramach programy RITA. Wspieraliśmy wtedy ewakuację ludności, zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa, wsparcie humanitarne, pomoc w odnalezieniu się uchodźców w Polsce, działania edukacyjne i opiekuńcze dla dzieci.
„Szybka ścieżka” zainicjowana przez Polsko-Amerykańską Fundację Wolności w ramach programu RITA dała początek nowemu mechanizmowi wsparcia dla Ukrainy. Bez zbędnej zwłoki, decyzją Rady Dyrektorów Polsko-Amerykańskiej Fundacji Wolności powołano program grantowy o nazwie WSPIERAMY UKRAINĘ. Komisja Grantowa zarekomendowała do dofinansowania w sumie 59 projektów na łączną kwotę 1.649.173 zł:
17 projektów z szybkiej ścieżki programu RITA na łączną kwotę 635 893 zł oraz
42 projekty z programu Wspieramy Ukrainę na łączną kwotę 1 013 280,00zł:

Szybka ścieżka dla Ukrainy w ramach programu RITA – Przemiany w regionie jest finansowana ze środków Polsko-Amerykańskiej Fundacji Wolności i realizowana przez Fundację Edukacja dla Demokracji.
We support Ukraine – fast track for grants. Forerunner of more support for people suffering under the war.
We will open a fast track for ad-hoc (intervention) projects supporting Ukrainian residents of all nationalities who have been affected by the war. The fast-track grant pathway will be launched under the Region in Transition (RITA) Programme funded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
We will support evacuating citizens, ensuring safety, helping refugees find their place in Poland, and providing education and care to children.
Application timeline: until 12.00 (noon) on 15 March (WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS!). We received a total of 422 applications which we are checking against administrative and eligibility criteria.
Grant amount: up to PLN 40,000.
Grants are available for Polish organisations (foundations and associations registered with the National Court Register) acting for civilians in Ukraine and Poland.
Partnerships with foreign entities are not required to implement actions in Poland.

To submit your application, fill in the online form by 12.00 (noon) on 15 March 2022. We will not process applications submitted via different channels or past the deadline.
Start by using the template to edit the application offline (template available below). Then copy the final content into the online form. The form does not use AutoSave. Enter content into all fields and submit by pressing “Submit”.
Once you submit your application correctly, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The message will be sent to the address of your organisation provided in point 8 of the application.
Should an organisation submit multiple applications, we will only process the more recent one (by date or time).

The RITA fast track for Ukraine is the forerunner of broader grant support for Ukraine from funds provided by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and implemented in cooperation with the Education for Democracy Foundation, i.e. the new “We Support Ukraine” programme. We are currently working out the details, and you will see the outcomes of our efforts soon. For the time being, we are taking ad-hoc actions. That way, we can act swiftly and reduce the formalities.
